This sweet family! The only thing I like more than taking their photos is gushing about them. Sweetest family ever! Seriously y’all!
Casey opted to do their family portraits at home this year. They have a beautiful home and I was completely on board with it. Someone forgot to let little Lincoln know that though. He was just not having it. Any of it. It was the cutest thing. Mom & Dad are so patient with both of their littles and as soon as we realized that he was semi ok as long as no one said the “P” word (picture) we were able to get some cute shots.
It was the funniest thing. I was taking photos of Mom and precious Rory and not 3 feet away little Lincoln was sitting on the floor bawling like a baby. Well, ok…he is a baby but I’m sure you get the picture.
These are the fun photoshoots that will make Mom & Dad smile years from now when they look at the pictures and remember all of the chaos and tears off-camera that went with them. They will smile with nostalgia and wish they could go back to that very moment and hug their littles just one more time before they grew up. It happens in a blink.
In the meantime, they will frame their photos, hang them on the wall and high five each other before falling into bed exhausted. Are ya feeling me all you Mom’s and Dad’s out there? You’ve been there haven’t you? Me too my friends.
Live in the moment, embrace the chaos, the imperfection and the “real”. Casey always smiles and says, “this is so us.” I just love her…we should all learn a bit these two.
I can’t wait til our next photographic adventure!
This fall will be the third year that I have been blessed to photograph this family. I love working with them and gush about them every time I post. I was super excited when Casey called me to photograph their extended family at their beautiful family home in Katy, Texas.
Mom and Dad (or Grandpa and Grandma) are so cute and still clearly nuts about each other after all these years. I just love the way they are looking at each other. So very sweet! #relationshipgoals
As it turns out, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and whole family is fun! Is this a gorgeous clan or what? The weather was iffy that morning so we were challenged with a group of adorable littles and attempting to get them to all look the same direction as well as the fighting the humidity and threat of Mother Nature. We had a window of about 15 minutes before the rain came but managed to get some great photos!
After the rain started to fall we went inside and tried to get the littles to sit on the couch for a group pose. They were not having any of it but I think this photo is absolutely adorable. They need to recreate this exact shot when they are in their late teens or early twenties don’t you think? It makes me giggle.
Thank you as always Casey! Can’t wait for your family session in a couple of weeks!
Everything is coming up babies these days and I love it! If you’ve been around here for a while you may remember Rachel & Chad from their wedding and more recently, their maternity photos. I’ve shared some fun stories of little Rachel when she was a member of one of my Girl Scout Troops and the fun times we had.
There have been 5 troop babies born this year so my Facebook feed is full of sweet little faces and tired, but happy Mommies & Daddies. It fills my heart every time I scroll.
Rachel, Kelsey & my oldest daughter, Stacie, still hang out as much as they can. All three have had babies in the last 12 months.
Rachel and Stacie are 2 days apart and whatdya know…Jakobi & my newest wee one, Sarai, are only 3 days apart! That’s just so exciting! We attempted to do their newborn photos together but Sarai was not having any of it. I will try again soon to get some good photos of her but in the meantime….you’ll just have to “ooooo” and “ahhhhhh” after Mr. Jakobi’s handsome little self!
Welcome to the world little man! Thank you for the good snuggles. I’m already excited about your next session!
Babies, babies….babies everywhere. Love it! I mean, who doesn’t just love these adorable little faces? The blog is being taken over by babies and bellies these days and I’m not complaining one bit! Little Miss Kendall was quite the ham at her 9 month photo shoot splish slashing around in her birthday suit.
One of my favorite things about photographing her, besides her little bubbly smile and smile is all of the cute head bands and bows her Mom has. She never tries to take them off either. Little Missy here is quite the little Princess. I just love it!
She is such a ham she literally made us laugh out loud as I was snapping away. Happy and smiley should be her middle names. In the August heat in Texas who wouldn’t be happy splashing around in an old tub?
I wish I could take credit for this adorable set-up but I can’t. It was her Mom, Kelsey’s idea. It was perfect! I may have to borrow this set-up someday myself. We are already planning her 1 year cake smash session. I’m sure her Mom will have all sorts of cute & creative ideas. I’m already counting the days!
How absolutely adorable is this precious newborn? Little Keegan was quite the squirmy fellow during his newborn photo session but I didn’t mind one bit I mean..just look at him. He looks like such a little man. And his name….love love love his name!
His photo session was held at his Mumzy & Paw Paw’s home in Montgomery, Texas and if you’ve ever seen two grandparents completely wrapped around one little finger…these two are! Most especially his Paw Paw. Mom is smitten as well and between the Grands and Auntie I think she just might get to hold him occassionally. *giggles*
Time to stop cooing over this little cutie and introduce baby Keegan. Enjoy!
My favorite memories of this pretty little mama are of chasing her around Girl Scout camp with worms and other fun bugs. She would run screaming, trying to hide behind her friends who of course…served her right back up to me. I was such a good leader right? Seems like only yesterday it was campfires, sing-a-longs and badges. The next thing you know, she’s getting married and just 5 short years later, here we are…taking maternity photos of her beautiful round belly!
If I’ve told that story once, I’ve told it a hundred times. It’s a good thing still loves me now that she’s all grown up. It’s also a good thing I gave her a early bug practice because before you know it, she and her husband Chad will be welcoming little Jakobi into the world and we all know how much little boys love snails and puppy dog tails.
I’m sure Rachel will be a pro at emptying pockets full of frogs and doodle bugs in to time at all and she will love every minute of it. She and Chad were goo-goo eyed and gushing about the impending arrival of their little bundle of joy during their maternity photo session at Spring Creek Park in Tomball and it was contagious.
Stick around….soon little Jakobi will make his blog debut. I can’t wait!
