Since this precious couple got married high in the mountains in Colorado yesterday…I am so excited to be able to share a few of Montgomery’s beautiful bridals with you!
Congratulations Austin & Montgomery! I’m so happy for you and wish you many, many years of love! @ Tomball, Texas
“Mom – Holly won’t get off the swing so I can swing.”
Ahhhh…kids. You have to love them right? If you’ve been around my page for any length of time you know that I spent 16 years as a Girl Scout Leader, had over 80 girls at one point, watched them grow from K-12 and was blessed to get to know their little brothers & sisters (tag-a-longs) and watch them grow up as well.
“Holly Dolly” as I’ve always called her is one of that crew. Her amazing mother was one of my “Super-Moms” and we could not have done it without her. She was a cookie mom, cake baker and craft master. Whatever we needed she was always there…..as was little Holly. She bounced around with her adorable little pony tail and a huge smile across her face….always.
I am so very blessed to have been and to still be a part of these kiddos lives. I was honored to photograph her sister, my Rachel, and her new hubby as they spoke their vows just a couple of years ago.
My little Holly Dolly is all grown up now and what a beauty she is, inside and out. Luis came along 6 years ago when they met at McDonald’s and stole her heart. These two are a gorgeous couple and I could have photographed them all day!
Holly & Luis chose the 7F Lodge, a beautiful venue in College Station, Texas, to start their life together. It was the perfect location and they celebrated their love surrounded by friends and family.
The real act of marriage takes place in the heart, not in the ballroom or church or synagogue. It’s a choice you make – not just on your wedding day, but over and over again – and that choice is reflected in the way you treat your husband or wife.Barbara De Angelis
Holly & Luis…congratulations on your beautiful wedding & new life together. Thank you for letting me be a part of it. I wish you a lifetime of love, happiness and friendship.
I have been blessed to have known Austin since he was around 3 years old and to have been able watch him grow up. For some reason, in my mind, he’s been perpetually 6 years old. I have no idea why. Maybe it’s because his mother, Anne, was my amazing Co-Leader in Girl Scouts for years and we had his 6th Birthday out at the Girl Scout Camp. Maybe it’s because he’s still got that same sweet baby face. Either way…these days he’s still 6 but more like 6’2″ or 6’3″ or somewhere around in there.
He’s also engaged to sweet, beautiful Montgomery. Cedar Break Park was the perfect backdrop to capture their engagement photos and kick off the wedding festivities.
When Austin & Montgomery first met she was actually engaged to someone else. They were just friends but ran in the same circles. Eventually Montgomery realized she was head over heels in love with Austin and broke off her engagement. They became inseparable and a couple of years later…here they are…planning their beautiful mountain top ceremony in Colorado set for this July.
Congratulations Austin & Montgomery! Love you and wish you many years of happiness.
Daria & Doug have the sweetest love story. These two have known each other since elementary school. They grew up and went separate ways but as fate would have it, they crossed paths again. Having written and recited their vows to each other in the presence of those they love most, they are looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together.
The wedding was a small, intimate ceremony attended by immediate family followed by a fall themed reception with their closest friends.Daria’s step-father got ordained so he could marry them. What a special treat for them!
Daria was referred to me by a friend and she and I hit it off on the phone like we were old friends. I didn’t get to meet her before the wedding but meeting her in person was no different. She is just adorable and lights up a room!I wish she lived closer so we could share a glass of wine now and again.
Doug is just as adorable and full of light and fun.His love for his new bride was shining bright in his vows, the way he looked at her and he was beaming the entire wedding. This adorable couple, their family and friends were such a wonderful group and a pleasure to photograph.
Congratulations Daria & Doug!Thank you so much for allowing me to share on your special day.I wish you a lifetime of happiness & unending love!
I sat down to write this but I had no words.I don’t even know if I can manage to put the words together to accurately describe this sweet, beautiful couple.I’ve started and stopped several times.
I have had the gift of Terri’s friendship since around the ripe old age of 14.We’re plenty nine +1 now so you could say we’ve been friends a while. As with any young friends, we’ve gone long periods of time without talking or even seeing each other, life has a way of forcing gaps like that sometimes.Despite time and distance we’ve both always known we are just a phone call away and when we’ve gotten together it’s like not a single minute has passed and we still see each other every day.I’ve always loved Terri’s laugh that she gifts us with so freely, her outgoing, bubbly personality and how she lights up a room.
I haven’t gotten to know Thomas as well as I’d like but I love him too! These two have been through so much and they’ve survived. They have come out the other side stronger and more in love than ever before with a brand new lease on life.
You see…we almost lost our precious Terri a year ago.I won’t go in to detail as Terri openly shares their story on her blog (http://www.miraculousfailure.com) but my eyes were already full of tears just photographing my beautiful strong, courageous lifelong friend walking down the aisle toward the love of her life….a few minutes later she took the mic and said…
“..before I felt like every choice I ever made led me to you, but now I know that it was God that led me to you, so that you could save me.”
“How to I begin to honor the one who is literally the reason that I am alive?”
“Thomas, you are my husband and a lot of people have those but you are also my hero and hardly anybody has that.”
I had to fight literally blubbering out loud.It wasn’t just me either., there was not a dry eye in the crowd. This was the most loving, sweetest, most heartfelt ceremony I’ve ever had the privilege of attending, much less photographing.
Terri thank you for being you, for loving me, for being here and for giving me the gift of being able to document this beautiful day for you.Thomas, thank you for loving my girl, for always having a welcoming hug and for being the most amazing, loving supportive husband that any woman could ever hope to have.
I love you both so much and wish you many, many, many more years of happiness.
Isn’t October the perfect time of the year to get married? Christi and Marshall thought so when they planned their special day at Pine Lake Ranch in Montgomery, Texas. I have to agree. Perfect couple, perfect weather…perfect day!
I’ve been looking forward to this wedding since their awesome engagement session! These two love birds are not only adorable and easy on the eyes but they are super fun and so relaxed behind the camera. Christi told me when we met for her consult that Marshall didn’t like photos and would be nervous but you’d never know it! Christi is a natural and I could photograph her for hours! The camera loves her as much as I do. Christi you keep rockin it girl…you are fabulous!
The entire wedding party, friends and family were over the moon for these two and it showed. The happiness was palpable and came through in the photos.
Christi and Marshall, thank you for the honor of being welcomed into your world and for being able to share in your special day.
Your day was absolutely perfect and we wish you nothing but the best as you begin your lives together as husband and wife.
