“Mom – Holly won’t get off the swing so I can swing.”
Ahhhh…kids. You have to love them right? If you’ve been around my page for any length of time you know that I spent 16 years as a Girl Scout Leader, had over 80 girls at one point, watched them grow from K-12 and was blessed to get to know their little brothers & sisters (tag-a-longs) and watch them grow up as well.
“Holly Dolly” as I’ve always called her is one of that crew. Her amazing mother was one of my “Super-Moms” and we could not have done it without her. She was a cookie mom, cake baker and craft master. Whatever we needed she was always there…..as was little Holly. She bounced around with her adorable little pony tail and a huge smile across her face….always.
I am so very blessed to have been and to still be a part of these kiddos lives. I was honored to photograph her sister, my Rachel, and her new hubby as they spoke their vows just a couple of years ago.
My little Holly Dolly is all grown up now and what a beauty she is, inside and out. Luis came along 6 years ago when they met at McDonald’s and stole her heart. These two are a gorgeous couple and I could have photographed them all day!
Holly & Luis chose the 7F Lodge, a beautiful venue in College Station, Texas, to start their life together. It was the perfect location and they celebrated their love surrounded by friends and family.
The real act of marriage takes place in the heart, not in the ballroom or church or synagogue. It’s a choice you make – not just on your wedding day, but over and over again – and that choice is reflected in the way you treat your husband or wife.Barbara De Angelis
Holly & Luis…congratulations on your beautiful wedding & new life together. Thank you for letting me be a part of it. I wish you a lifetime of love, happiness and friendship.
This family is so much fun! Not only were Mom & Dad both team players and completely open to every idea I threw at them but the boys were full of energy and up for anything including jump shots, rolling down the hill, climbing over rocks by the water and they even posed for some adorable close-ups.
By the end of the session, Mr. Kyle (the oldest), was actually posing himself and asking for pics. How adorable is that? He was cracking me up!
I brought Beaux Joe along for the session and he was nice enough to keep the boys entertained for a bit and give me a few minutes with the Mr. & Mrs. Mom & Dad need pics too right? Love, love, love their photos! Ok – I’ll quit gushing and get on to their photos.
I love a creative challenge & when I found out that this beautiful Montgomery High School Senior wanted to hold part of her Senior Portrait Session in a parking garage I was super excited! It was an awesome idea and the images turned out great.
Then again, with those eyes, it’s easy to create beautiful portraits. We also had a little adventure during Rachel’s session. Rachel found a baby bird that fell out of it’s nest. Fortunately for us, Mom & Dad came along for the shoot and Dad was nice enough to climb the tree and put the baby back in it’s nest. Poor little baby…I sure hope it’s ok. Mama bird was sure swarming him during his rescue effort.
Congratulations Rachel! Thank you for an awesome session. I know you are going to do big things!
I have been blessed to have known Austin since he was around 3 years old and to have been able watch him grow up. For some reason, in my mind, he’s been perpetually 6 years old. I have no idea why. Maybe it’s because his mother, Anne, was my amazing Co-Leader in Girl Scouts for years and we had his 6th Birthday out at the Girl Scout Camp. Maybe it’s because he’s still got that same sweet baby face. Either way…these days he’s still 6 but more like 6’2″ or 6’3″ or somewhere around in there.
He’s also engaged to sweet, beautiful Montgomery. Cedar Break Park was the perfect backdrop to capture their engagement photos and kick off the wedding festivities.
When Austin & Montgomery first met she was actually engaged to someone else. They were just friends but ran in the same circles. Eventually Montgomery realized she was head over heels in love with Austin and broke off her engagement. They became inseparable and a couple of years later…here they are…planning their beautiful mountain top ceremony in Colorado set for this July.
Congratulations Austin & Montgomery! Love you and wish you many years of happiness.
If you were ever wondering what true love looks like…it looks exactly like this. I was so excited when Jess asked me for a photo shoot to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of their love. I just love this sweet couple and jumped at the chance!
Jess and I met online about 18 years in an community long before MySpace or Facebook ever existed. I’ve been blessed to have made friends there from all over the world. Amazing people…all brought together via the web. Some I’ve been lucky enough to meet in person, some I haven’t….yet.
Jess is one of the “Houston bunch” and I just adore her. Eventually I met Rich as well and just fell in love with these two. No relationship is perfect and we all have our ups and downs but in 18 years of friendship….both on and off the web……a zillion blogs, posts, tweets, emails, grams, snaps…you name it….these two glow with true friendship, mutual admiration and true love for each other. They do it all the time and don’t even realize it. Not the fake kind that makes us all wanna be sick or even necessarily through their words but just their posts and interaction with each other. We should all be so lucky!
During their session you’d have thought they were still dating. Rich is clearly still smitten with his sweet bride. Then again, who could blame him….she’s smart, beautiful, has a heart of gold and one of the best Mom’s in the world.
Happy Anniversary you two! Here’s to 20 more! Love you bunches!
It has been said that time flies when you’re having fun. I have found time and time again that this is do true. Just yesterday, or so it seems, I had the pleasure of meeting Megan & Bill and had a great time at their Spring, Texas maternity portrait session.
We had more fun at Liam’s newborn session, his 6 month session…9 months
and just like that…
Liam is turning 1. Each session has been more fun than the last. How can you not just fall in love with this adorable little family and their 4 legged loves too!
Thank you Megan & Bill for choosing me to document Liam’s first year! I has truly been an honor!
