Pine Lake Ranch Wedding – Montgomery, Texas | Lizzy + Taylor
I just love first looks! In my opinion everyone should do them! The groom shows so much more emotion seeing his beautiful bride for the first time when he’s not in front of a room full of people and it’s just the two of them….well, and their friendly photographers of course.
Taylor was no exception. His face, when he saw his beautiful bride, Lizzy, for the first time was absolutely priceless. He was choked up, fighting a tear and smiling all at the same time. Lizzy was breathtaking, radiant and joy was glowing around her as they met, kissed, kissed and kissed again. She spun around showing off her beautiful dress while Taylor watched, completely entranced. He couldn’t even find words for a moment. It was such a sweet moment to witness, and capture.
This past Saturday, Joe and I were privileged to document their wedding at April Sound Church and their beautiful reception in Montgomery at Pine Lake Ranch. The beautiful, rustic reception venue with the lake and gorgeous oak tree were the perfect backdrop for Lizzy and Taylors blush pink color palette.
All day long, Lizzy and Taylor’s friends and family doted on them and cheered them on. They were surrounded with love and laughter. They were so much fun. They chose to have a Grand March for their first dance which started things off with a bang and put everyone in a happy, dancing, cheerful mood.
They even played a little version of the Newlywed Game where the DJ asked them questions such as, “Who is the better cook?” and while sitting back to back, they had to raise the shoe of the correct partner high in the air and hope they matched. They made the rounds greeting guests and talking to friends but would come together often to strut their stuff on the dance floor. It was a high energy, super happy, celebrate life wedding and we had a blast!
As their first look was at 2pm in the bright Texas sun (and heat), Lizzy and Taylor let us have a 2nd little photoshoot with them closer to sunset during the reception and I was loving every minute. It’s not often you get two separate mini sessions with the bride and groom at a wedding.
Congrats Lizzy & Taylor! We wish you many, many years of happiness and love!
